Our pierogis are very large, and run about 3 pounds per dozen for the potato filled, and between 3 and 4 pounds per dozen for most of the others. However, pierogis with more expensive fillings (such as crab meat, portabello mushroom and artichoke hearts) are smaller, and run about one and one-half pounds per dozen. Pierogis purchased on-line are mailed fully cooked and frozen, and include reheating instructions. Most people like them browned in a skillet, usually with onions, depending on the type.
